SEED (Seeking Educational Equity and Diversity) Cohort 2023 – Seeking Volunteers

Southeast Seattle Education Coalition (SESEC) will be hosting its fourth SEED group starting March 7, 2023.

SEED is a peer-led professional development program that promotes personal, organizational, and societal change towards greater equity and diversity by creating conversational communities. SEED participants will use personal reflection and testimony, interpersonal dialogue, and learn experientially and collectively to build personal and organizational capacity.   • SESEC SEED 2023 will have both in-person and virtual Zoom sessions as noted below.
  • The following Tuesdays from 9.30 a.m.-11.30 a.m.

    April 25 – Virtual
    May 2 – In-Person
    May 16 – Virtual
    May 30 – Virtual
    June 13 – In-Person
  • Priority Application Deadline: Jan 6, 2023
  • In-Person Location: We’re currently working on confirming space as of 12.08.22. Tentatively, it will be near Hillman City/Brighton. We will update this ASAP and let any applicants know once this location is updated as we know this can be a factor in ability to participate.
  • FREE – We just ask that you commit to attending most (ideally all) sessions. If you’re unsure of this time commitment, contact [email protected] before automatically opting out.
  • COVID Safety Measures: Please take a rapid COVID test at least 24 hours prior to in-person sessions. If you are not feeling well, please stay home. We will bring extra to test onsite for day-of testing if needed. It is up to each individual’s comfort level whether you would like to wear a mask or not. We will have masks available.
  • Priority goes to SESEC partners and BIPOC individuals.
