Thank you to everyone who participated in our Facebook Chat with Seattle Public Schools about enrollment and early learning. If you were not able to join us, but would like to see the transcript, please follow this link to our event page where you will find all of the questions asked and answered.
SESEC has been working on a map of SE Seattle in Google Maps. We have plotted public, private and charter schools, as well as licensed child care centers. The map is open source, so if you see anything that we missed or things that you think would be useful to have, please feel free to do so. We want this to be a tool for others to use and reference.

Do you know young people aged 16-18 who want to tell stories and experience what it means to be a radio journalist? Then help us get the word out about this amazing PAID opportunity! KUOW is looking for outreach opportunities between now and April 25th. They would love the opportunity to make announcements in your classroom, table at your community event or in your school hallways, offer drop-in application help sessions, host your group for a tour of KUOW’s radio studios, or spread the word to the youth you work with in whatever way works best for you. They can even come to your school or organization to present an engaging short lesson on a specific radio journalism skill (like interviewing or writing), free of charge!
Seattle Public Schools has created a new bell times survey that focuses on childcare and athletics questions.
