Rainier Beach High and other schools are hoping to raise $25,000 by May 1 to make sure that the summer social-justice program, Children’s Defense Fund Freedom Schools, can be held this summer. Read more about it or if you would like to donate or further information, follow this link.
The Get Engaged program is an innovative program from the City of Seattle and the Accelerator YMCA. They play emerging leaders 18-29 on 18 different public Boards and Commissions each year and support their development of leadership competencies. Applications are open now. RFP Opportunity: King County Elections and Seattle Foundation will fund up to $25,000 in 2016 Voter Engagement with Chinese, Korean, Latino and Vietnamese communities (Sec203 Voting Rights Act & KC Ordinance languages).
