The Seal of Bi-literacy Student Recipients were honored at the Seattle School Board meeting on Wednesday, June 1. The Washington State Seal of Biliteracy recognizes public high school graduates who have attained a high level of proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in one or more world languages in addition to English.

Last November, SESEC partnered with OneAmerica and several SESEC partners to share the message of the Home Language Campaign with parents/guardians and the community. To read about the four projects and how they wrapped up, check this blog post. To learn more about the process of earning the Seal of Biliteracy itself, click here.

Thank you to OneAmerica and Road Map Project for helping to make this a reality in Washington.
